Hospital
Directors: Hoyt and Stephanie Grimes
Missional Purpose:
The impact of any ministry is not determined by how many hours are spent, but how a ministry spends its hours. We believe that spending hours with hurting people in the hospital is worth every second of our time. Parkway Baptist Temple ministries find that emptying ourselves into people’s lives, make our lives full. Our hospital ministry began in 2006 by one of our families, Joe and Peggy Liebe; who had a vision for this ministry, and enlisted the leadership of Hoyt and Stephanie Grimes and passed the leadership on to them. Their leadership in this area has been a blessing and a great example of service to our church family. We want the families in the hospital to know that each lunch is prepared with love, prayer, and a way for us to place value on them during their time of need.
Missional Opportunities
The Hospital Ministry provides lunches to Hutcheson Hospital in Fort Oglethorpe, GA on the second Friday of each month. Volunteers are asked to meet in Boatner Hall to help prepare sack lunches, and then distribute them to the families in the ICU waiting rooms.
