Pastor's Sermon Showcase

THE BOOK OF ACTS: Many have revised the title of the book that is subsequent to the gospels as—“The Acts of the Apostles”—for the book accurately records the acts of many great men who championed the cause of Christ. However, the book should be titled, “The Acts of the Holy Spirit through the Apostles”—for it was the Spirit’s directing, controlling, and empowering ministry that strengthened the church and caused it to grow in numbers, spiritual power, and influence.
Today's believers need to be strongly reminded of the Spirit's power in the life of the early church. With so many ministries today struggling due to compromise and corruption, the book of Acts is a timely reminder of the importance of preaching in a culture gone bad. The missional advances and influence of the early church were largely due to the obedience to the Lordship of Christ through the act of preaching. As the Word was preached the power of God was released.
Come and join us on this journey through the book of Acts on Sunday evenings. As we study together, we will be spiritually rewarded and revived, as faithful hearers of the Word.
